Memorial Pumpkinfest 5K Run / Walk
The 2009 5K Run / Walk will take place on Saturday, November 7, 2009. Registration begins at 9 AM. Race begins at 10 AM.
Registration and Awards
- Run/Walk Early Registration (by 10/15/2009) - $15.00
- Run/Walk Late Registration (after 10/15/2009) - $20.00
- Entries received before the Early Registration deadline will receive a free T-Shirt. A limited number of t-shirts will be available for purchase on the day of the race.
- Awards for top 2 in the following age groups for RUN only:
- Men & Women 29 and younger
- Men & Women 30-49
- Men & Women over 50

About Bev Coleman and the Sandy Hook Submerge Youth Fellowship
In February of 2009, many people in the
Sandy Hook family, and throughout the
Columbus community, said goodbye to a
dear friend, teacher and spiritual leader.
Bev Coleman lost her earthly battle
against cancer and went on to her heavenly
home to be with her Savior, Jesus
Christ.
To her family and the members
of Sandy Hook United Methodist Church,
Bev was a blessing. 
To have been that
close to a woman of unwavering faith
during some of the most difficult times
has had a tremendous impact on many
lives.
To honor Bev and her legacy, the Sandy
Hook UMC PumpkinFest 5K Run/Walk
will now be renamed The Beverly D.
Coleman Memorial PumpkinFest 5K Run/
Walk and all proceeds will benefit those
whom she impacted most, the youth.
The SubMerge Youth Fellowship at
SHUMC is second to none in its mission
and is dedicated to growing the spiritual
lives of the youth that it serves, as well
as those served by those youth. Your
support of this event will provide funds
for this youth ministry so that they can
continue to love, serve, and proclaim in
Christ's name, in this community and
elsewhere. The Submerge group's weeklong mission trips
to Tecate, Mexico in 2007 to participate in
homebuilding for the desperately poor, and to New York City's
food pantries and homeless shelters in 2009, are
but two examples of ways in which they help extend
Christ's love with your support.
We appreciate the opportunity to work
with you to honor Bev's legacy and this
faith filled cause.
