Pastor Steve Russell
Pastor Steve Russell has been our spiritual leader for over eight years now. He has thirty+ years of experience in leading and growing churches for the Kingdom of God.
Pastor Steve's passion is for the lost children of God. He has been actively involved in developing new churches and in redeveloping existing churches. He leads us by word and example in the scriptural way we can live our lives to follow Christ.
Pastor Steve's messages are biblically based, relevant to today's lifestyle, topical and humorous. You will leave worship challenged to a believer lifestyle.
Pastor Steve & Cheryl have been married for over thirty years and they have two married children, Chad & Teresa Russell and Ryan & Brian Goggins. Choir Director/Organist - Michelle Farnsworth
Sandy Hook Church is blessed with a new organist/choir director for our traditional worship service held at 8:45 a.m. Michelle Farnsworth and her family recently relocated to Columbus from Wixom, Michigan. She has years of experience directing choral music and loves playing the organ. In May of 2008, she received her Bachelor of Music degree in organ and sacred music from Marygrove College. Her obvious passion for sacred music greatly enhances our traditional worship service.
Praise & Worship Leader - Brian Goggins
Brian has a heart for worship and comes to us with years of experience leading worship and praise music. We are blessed to have his musical talent and experience in our Praise & Worship Service. Brian and his wife Ryan add amazing depth to an already talented praise team. Their passionate love for the Lord and for leading others to worship are shown in their music and their lives.
Senior High Youth Ministry - Chad Russell
Chad is our youth ministry leader. Teen ministry at Sandy Hook is extreme! They go white-water rafting, play paintball and lazer tag, learn to rappel, campout, play volleyball and basketball, take mission trips and the list just goes on! While fun is important, the focus is on strengthening and deepening their relationship with God. "I have a passion to see young kids grow in their relationships. It means a lot to me to be a part of this." Chad feels the teenage years are an important time in their lives that is often overlooked and wants them to know that their problems are taken seriously. Submerge Youth Fellowship is a comfortable and safe place where teenagers feel free to ask questions and get answers.
